Nobyline has no accounts and no login system. We're designed to collect as little as possible. Here's exactly what we do and don't collect.

What we collect

Published posts and comments. When you publish a piece or leave a response, that content is stored in our database and displayed publicly on the site.
Hashed secret keys. When you publish, a secret key is generated and shown to you once. We store only a one-way hash of that key — never the key itself. The hash cannot be reversed to recover your key.
IP addresses. We log IP addresses solely for rate limiting (to prevent automated spam) and for abuse prevention. IP addresses are not linked to your writing or comments in any way visible to other users.

What we don't collect

We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, or any form of account information — because there are no accounts. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics services, or advertising networks. We do not build profiles of visitors.

How we use your data

Published content is displayed on the site as you submitted it, under the randomly assigned pen name for that piece. IP addresses are used only to enforce rate limits and detect abuse — they are not shared or used for any other purpose.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. Full stop.

Content removal

If you'd like a piece you published to be removed, contact us at the address below. Because there are no accounts, we may ask you to verify ownership using your secret key.
